Architects released a new song this morning titled “Doomsday.” The bands drummer, Dan Searle, has made several comments on Twitter regarding the song, and also hinting at the future of the band:
“Doomsday was a song that Tom had started but never got to finish. Completing it for him was a massive responsibility…” and continued on to Tweet:
“Doomsday is not from an album we’ve recorded. It’s just 1 song. It’s just the start. Our way of showing everyone that there’s still a future.”
This is great news for Architects and the metal scene alike, as the band’s future was previously in question following the death of former guitarist Tom Searle last year. This song is seemingly a testament to the band’s love for music, and their incredible love and respect for Tom and to carry on his legacy of writing extraordinary lyrics.
Turn this one up loud, and enjoy.
